How to Add a Second Text Widget

    I understand that it’s possible to have more than one text widget at a time.

    I already have one, and need to add a second.

    I can’t figure out how to do it.

    The Codex says to click the widget’s Add link. I see no such link.

    You should be able to simply drag another “Text” widget from the “Available Widgets” panel.

    That’s what I thought! But when I drag the widget over, it just vanishes when I release my mouse.

    Can you add other widgets in the same space?

    Problem solved! You have to “close” the first widget before you can drag over the second. That’s what I was doing wrong.
