  • Actually, I have just realised that with the RSS widget activated and the URL set to my feed, it does in fact automatically generate RSS feeds, for RSS 2.0, .92 and Atom 0.3, without my having to manually edit the XML files every time I add a new post — that’s what I was getting at in my initial post in this thread. The problem is, the RSS 2.0 feed doesn’t seem to be working. When I try to select it in my browser, I am sent to my file directory. For the RSS .92 and Atom formats, everything loads flawlessly. I wonder what the issue could be?

    Hi,

I am trying to add a Feedburner RSS button to my blog but when I input my web site name at Feedburner the response I receive is:

The URL does not appear to reference a valid XML file. We encountered the following problem: Unknown feed format encountered (The root element is [Element: <html [Namespace: https://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml%5D/>%5D)

I am a newbie just started with WP a few days ago, so, I really don’t know what this means or how to fix it.

Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Chris
