How to add a header link to the basic WP theme?

    If I could figure out how to search this forum I am sure i could find the answer to my question.

    I am trying to add a link to the menu bar in the header of the standard WP theme that installs with the 3.1 download. I have created a new link in the Links section but I don’t know how to get it to appear in the menu bar. The link goes to an external site. Any suggestions?

    Also how can I change the “HOME” link in the menu bar to read “Blog Home”.
