  • Hi,

Follow the steps to create a cover image.

    1. Edit the section
    2. Make the column width as full width
    3. Choose column gap as no gap
    4. Finally, enable stretch section

Hi – I was asking about adding a “cover block” which is a method to place text over an image. It is done using a “cover block.”

How can I place text over an image using elementor?

    Thank you!

    Hi,

You can add text with any text widget like the heading or text editor,
To have it over any other section/picture/widget, go to the advanced tab and change the z-index to be 1 and above, this will make the widget or section a priority and will be over any other area without any z-index.

You can change the area placement by either moving it using the margin or changing the positioning to absolute or fixed to move it freely by dragging or using the scaled/numbering.

Hi – I can’t seem to get the text to lock in place? How do I make sure it doesn’t move? Right now I have to position the text slightly below the picture while editing for the text to appear in the proper place in final form.

How do I get this right?
What number should I be using for the Z-index?

    Thank you!

    Marc
