How to add a background image for the website

When you say a background image, can you please explain exactly where you’d like this image?

We assume you mean the background of the entire browser window (body tag)?

If so, do you want the content background to be transparent so that this background shows through? Currently the theme sets the background to white on content area(s) which would result in your background image showing on the left and right of the site only.

Also, will this background image be one image to cover the entire area of the window or will it be a repeating, tiled background image?

Thanks for your prompt response, and sorry for not being clear about what I want. I do indeed mean for the image to be a background for the entire browser window and envision it being one single large (2000 x 1200 px at least) image. The fact that the theme sets the background of the content area as white is fine. I recognize that the background image will only show to the left and right of my single column design. Thanks again for any help you are able to offer!

OK, we can definitely sort this out and I’ll add it to the “to do” list and let you know when it’s been implemented.

As an aside, if anyone else reading this wants any of the following options added at the same time, we can do …

1. Option to choose full image background or repeating / tiled background
2. Option to make the content background transparent to allow the site background image to show through
