How to adapt Divi section to content size

The examples I found on the plugin author’s website always show the content without margins and perfectly centered on the screen. I can’t do the same: I tried to edit margins, padding and section sizes, but I can’t perfectly adapt the Divi section to the size of the module (image or text). Suggestions?
