How to actiate Plugins

  • I know how to activate it from admin panel but for example, i have the ajax whos online plugin and after activating it what do i do? the instructions are confusing (and i’m a newbie to this, harder than phpbb)

    That’s a good idea but then doesn’t everyone know how to use them (not everyone but people on this forum).

    Plugins can be used in many different ways. How any specific plugin works is very particular to that plugin. So without knowing specifically what plugin and then reading the documentation that comes with it, it’s hard to say how to use it.

    Starting with the one already installed. Akismet. It says:

    Akismet is not active. You must enter your WordPress.com API key for it to work.

    But when I go to my profile it doesn’t say the key anywhere

    go to
    wordpress.com
    sign up for a user name.
    they will give you the API key
