I have a domain nam from register.com, I created a bluehost account, and installed wordpress using fantastico. My URL now displays a default wp blog.

I am not sure what to do next.

Based on other posts, I looked at the wp tutorials for getting started. Under “Starting from the Top” it says to “Begin by logging into the Administration Panel.” How do I do that? Do I go into my bluehost “File Manager”? If yes, which directory to I open (Home, Web Root, or Public_FTP Root)? And what do I need to do to access the Administration Panel? I don’t see panels, I just see folders and files.

    Thank You.

I’m not sure this is what you want, but…

I think you may be confusing your hosting panel with your WP Admin dashboard.

Go to your default blog. Is there a log in button there? If so click it. Then sign into wordpress.

I found the Login link. Lightbulb Moment.
    I’m good to go.

    Thanks!

Great! Now the way things work here is that once you’ve “resolved” the issue that you asked about…you go back up to the top of your post and where it says “This issue is:” followed by a scroll down box that says “not resolved,” you scroll down on that and mark this post as “resolved” and then click “change.”

That way others won’t keep reading it.
