How to 301 redirect translated urls with language subfolder?

  • Hi there,

    How to 301 redirect translated urls with language subfolder such as yoursite./en/translated-url ?

    When i apply a 301 redirect with a plugin, it wont work ? Would it work with a 301 redirect on .htaccess File or something else ? (perhaps is there a tool in TranslatePress to do so ?

    Thanks for your response! I’m currently using a plugin to implement 301 redirects for URLs. However, while it works for some URLs, it doesn’t seem to be catching redirects for URLs with subfolders, like mysite.com/fr/ for instance.

    Do you have any suggestions on how to ensure redirects work for these URLs as well?

    Hello Romain,

    Apologies for not getting back to you any sooner.

    It is necessary to set up redirects for additional languages as well (the translated link on your site to the translated link it should redirect to) for everything to function correctly, not just for the default language.
