How not to get crushed by Digg or Slashdot effect.

  • I’m curious as to why there are so many WordPress sites that are crushing WordPress sites? Is it because Digg and Slashdot are just too overwhelming or that WordPress is a hog when accessing its data. I don’t think it’s just because people that tend to use WordPress don’t pay a lot for hosting, because the error pages always stay up. Is there any way around getting smashed by links from huge sites?
