How much time it normally takes for the archive pages to be deleted?

    Hello,

    Thank you for having this plugin, i hope it will solve my issue.

    Until now haven’t worried about archives, so i’m a newbie to this. I wanted some archive pages, one uncategorized and a few tag pages to be deleted. Therefore, i chose (by the plugin settings) to remove the category, tag, monthly and yearly archive pages. How much time does it usually take for the plugin to work this out? Thank you in advance!

    Hi Stephanie,

    the archive pages no longer are accessible from the moment you activate the plugin. There is no delay.

    If some of the archive pages already are indexed by search engines, they will be removed from their index after a while. Search engines do not remove indexed pages immediately if they are no longer available because they may be available again in future. That’s why they wait a few weeks and recheck regularly. How long this takes depends on the search engines algorithm. This is not influenced by the plugin. In my experience it takes about 4 weeks.
