    Hi,
This is cool to see tagging media but unfortunately, this doesn’t satisfy what we need.
So, just curious, if this plugin can also provide…
    1. Access control based on roles?
    2. Front end interface for a user (*not an Admin) to upload media and set category, tags etc?
    3. Public/private access for any file/folder?
    4. Assign file/folder to any other user?
    5. Search file/folder based on tags?
    etc.

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your questions and for your interest in the plugin.

MLA is designed to be as “WordPress-like” as possible, adding features such as taxonomy support and Quick/Bulk Edit features along the lines of the existing admin-mode interface. Access control follows WordPress conventions, such as restricting items marked “private” to their owners and calling WordPress functions such as current_user_can() where appropriate.

MLA’s front end features are limited to shortcodes such as [mla_gallery]. MLA supports some of the many front end file upload plugins but does not have any specific features to “set category, tags etc?

MLA does provide dozens of hooks (actions and filters) that would make it possible to add some of the features you outlined with code in your theme or a small custom plugin for your specific application.

I regret the news is not better, but I am marking this topic resolved because your questions have been answered to the best of my ability. I wish you every success with the development of your WordPress applications.
