• Hello,
I’ve been using WordPress a little over six months now, and i can say it works great for me.
I recently got an idea that i could make two extra little Blogs for a few friends of mine on the same server.
I just got one SQL database and one mySQL user, but i can simply add multiple WordPress installations with the change of the ‘wp_’ prefix. And that works fine.

But i’m just curious, but how many WordPress installations could a mySQL database handle?
I can’t find any documentation about this anywhere.

My apologies if i posted this in the wrong subsection, or if i missed if this has been discussed before.

    thanks

  • it would depend on how much space your host gives you for the database server – in theory, you can have unlimited installs
