In the MailPoet settings page there are at least 4 dropdowns allowing you to set which page to use:

    • Manage subscription page
    • Unsubscribe – Confirmation Page
    • Unsubscribe – Success Page
    • Re-engagement

.. and seemingly two shortcodes available:

    • [mailpoet_manage_subscription]
    • [mailpoet_page]

My question is: if I can’t use the default “MailPoet Page” available in the dropdowns, how many pages do I need to create and populate with mailpoet shortcodes (because the default is including author box and excerpt/subtitle for some reason)? Just one with [mailpoet_page] (does that work for manage subscription?)

Or two, one for each of the mailpoet shortcodes listed above?

Also question number two: if I want multiple lists, how do I include lists on the subscription form, or do I need separate subscription forms for each list, while the manage subscription page can access all lists an account is on?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello there @jvagner

Thank you for your detailed email regarding your questions about MailPoet’s settings and subscription pages. Allow me to shed some light on these matters.

Regarding your first question, the number of pages you need to create, depends on your specific needs. If you are customizing MailPoet’s default pages, then each of the four dropdown options you mentioned could potentially need separate pages with specific short codes:

    1. The “Manage subscription page” could include the [mailpoet_manage_subscription] shortcode.
    2. The other pages (“Unsubscribe – Confirmation Page”, “Unsubscribe – Success Page”) typically use the [mailpoet_page] shortcode.

    Here are guides to help:

    Customize your Confirmation Page
    Customize Your Unsubscribe Page
    Customize Your Manage Subscription Page

Now, to your second question, if you want to give your subscribers the option to subscribe to multiple lists, you only need one subscription form. When creating your form in MailPoet, you can add a “List selection” field, where you can tick the lists that you want to show in your form. Your subscribers can then select the lists they want to subscribe to.

For managing their subscription, the [mailpoet_manage_subscription] page by default shows all the lists in your MailPoet system.

I hope this helps to clarify your concerns. However, feel free to reach out if you need any additional assistance or have other questions. We’re here to support you every step of the way.
