Can you only have the two back up selections to restore from (from inside of the WordPress/Updraft panel)?

Can I have three? If I save a third will it delete one of the older ones (I don’t mean having more than one copy on my FTP or exported files for manual installs, but directly from inside of the WordPress dashboard)?

I have two in there, I don’t want to delete them, I want to keep them there, save a third backup and then restore to my second one. If the second one doesn’t work out I want to be able to restore to the third one/the backup I had just created. But I haven’t seen any pictures of anyone having more than two.

I am actually just wanting to replace my rev slider plugin with an older version. Somehow they got corrupt on my server and then my host deleted them. There was a brand new one put on (but not edited) – I want to go back to before the plugin was deleted. Should I delete the new one or leave it before doing an plugin recovery?

Also a separate issue sometimes I get a FTP login error in the pop up window in the second to last step when restoring.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

You can change the backup retention rule that is in the UpdraftPlus ‘Settings’ tab so it will not delete the other older backups that you have.

If it is the only plugin that is causing the issue, you can also simply re-install your rev slider plugin if you have a copy. Rather than having to restore all the plugins from your backup.

Also please see FAQ regarding your FTP login issue – https://updraftplus.com/faqs/ftp-credentials-working-shall/

Where in the settings? Is it the “files backup schedule” and/or “Database backup schedule” – do I change both of those “and retain this many scheduled backups” to a higher number? Will this then show up in the “Existing Backups” tab and provide more backups without deleting the older ones? (I have these set to manual because I like doing it myself.) It says 2 now. How many backups can I have?

How do I restore just my rev slider plugin?

Also should I delete the newer one first?

In regards to the FTP, I don’t exactly see the same error, I am sorry I can’t look at it right now, but it’s either “ftp login failure” or “”ftp login error”. I have done some research on that but haven’t figured it out.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi,

You can change the number where it says 2 to depending on how many backups you want to retain and whether you want to apply it in both database and all files.

You can deactivate and delete it from your WordPress site then install the older version of the plugin. Also, we always recommend you backup site first before making any changes.

For FTP, I would recommend asking your host as to why you could not connect using FTP.
