How long to wait for restoring files?

I have the same question. I’m migrating a 189MB site, been sitting at 0% for a good 20 minutes or so.

Just an update – I let it run all night. No change, still at 0%.

Anyone able to roll back to WP 4.6 and test this?

Testing:

I’ve installed WordPress v4.4.5 (picked a recent older version back a bit). Still using AIOM v5.56 (latest, as of 7/Dec/2016) which failed previously.

The file import stage on WP v4.4.5 was rocket fast compared with on WP v4.7, approximately 30 seconds vs 15 mins.

It’s now spinning at “Done activating plugins…” for the past 5-6 minutes, I’ll see how it gets on.

On my WP 4.4 import, it seems to be hung at the “Done activating plugins…” stage, that’s no movement in about 3 hours.

I can see that themes and plugins directories appear to have been populated correctly in both Import attempts (WP 4.4 and 4.7), so the files part of the import looks to have worked.

On the other hand, right now both databases are almost empty apart from a single table: wp_newsletter_sent.

This is part of the Newsletter plugin.

@dalboslampen, @jesd00: are you folks running this Newsletter plugin?

Having the same problem. Fresh WP install on 4.7 and updated all in 1 plugin. Import hangs on 0.00% of import for ages.

Can somebody please follow up?

Our error log is located in /wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-wp-migration/storage/error.log.
Could you let me know what you find?

Could you try uploading your .wpress file via FTP to wp-content/ai1wm-backups and then restore it by using the Backups section instead?
