I’m less technical than most here, so please forgive my ignorance.

….but is there a way to know how long it should take before Wordfence “settles down”?

    Here’s what I expected:
scan > bots getting blocked > and then, in a few days, there’d be a lot less….exponentially, even.

    Here’s what’s happening:
scan > oh dear dawgs so very many bots > can Wordfence ever catch up to the bulk and then settle into anything that resembles less than a zombie apocalypse?

Again, I’m sure there is something I don’t understand. If someone has the time to post a link for me to read, I’d appreciate it. I tried to Google for this answer, but I just don’t know what keywords to use.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi,

I’d love to help but I don’t speak gangsta. What does “oh dear dawgs so very many bots” actually mean?

Either translate this for me or send me a gangsta dictionary so I can interpret what you mean and I’ll be happy to help.

    Regards,

    Mark.

I just meant to express that there are a LOT more bots out there than I expected.

Am I right to expect things to slow down as the plugin is there longer?

No, your site should continue to run fast. Also we’re putting out a release this week that will give you a BIG speed improvement.

I don’t mean that I think my site is running slow (or will) because of the plugin.

I just wonder if it at some point, it catches “most” of the bots…and then stops catching so many because there are fewer left to catch…..
