How long does a change password key remain valid

Dear community,

When creating a new user a mail is sent out to that user telling them an account has been created for them.
For them to be able to logon the site they’ll have to go to a link which contains a certain key, which enables them to change the password to their account.

I was wondering how long this key remains valid?
