• I’m looking to build an information system that will help enterprises to manage their resources (employee information, salary information, transaction information, etc.). I’ve heard of the WP ERP plugin but have never got a chance to try it out. In my understanding, WordPress is designed for content management. Maybe a system with data and analytics isn’t the best use case for WordPress? How is WordPress for systems in general? If you have used WP ERP or other plugins for building a similar system, please share your experience. I’d also appreciate it very much if you can share links to tutorials on these plugins and WordPress for systems. Thanks!

  • I’ve heard of the WP ERP plugin

It is a good plugin to manage HR, it even has an employee login add-on.

How is WordPress for systems in general?

Well, it is free and so much easier to set up. I strongly suggest you to try it out and check if the WP ERP plugin fits your needs.

It depends on your functional requirements, how many employees you have, if it is going to be used internally only,
    etc, etc

There’s really not enough information here to provide a strong answer.
If all you are using WordPress for is to use the functionallity being delivered by an ERP plugin, then I would something like Sage, but there are open-source options available to you as well – depends on the skills of your IT team really:

    https://www.odoo.com

Put together a functional requirements list before you search for a solution.
