• Hi,
I just installed your plugin and wonder how the available quantity of the group product will be calculated. I can’t see that it is done automatically as it would (only) make sense, and I can’t see any settings regarding the calculation. Can you please explain?
I have 5 x product-A in stock and 10 x product-B, and my new item group-1 contains of 2 x product-A and 1 x product-B. Therefore, for my new product group-1 must be an inventory of 2 be available. But the quantity field is an input field rather than the result of an equation. Do I miss something?

    Hi @volkerforster ,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

For your information: In a Smart grouped product, all grouped items stay as separate products, it’s just that they are grouped for customers’ convenience in purchasing a large number of items in a collection. Customers can adjust to any quantity they like or remove any grouped item from their order.

So the default quantity you set is, in fact, just a suggestion and does not affect the choice of customers at all. Buyers can still adjust the quantity to any number that they like.

About the stock, it’s calculated automatically based on the stock of each product. However, as grouped items stay as individual products within a smart grouped, the number that customers can choose for each product is based on the real stock of them.

If you would like to set up an offer with fixed default quantities & min/max, you can consider using our WPC Product Bundles or WPC Composite Products.

Thank you so much for your reply.

What we need is only sets of the same product. We have a product SKU 12345, and create a new product SKU 12345×5 that contains 5 x SKU 12345.

If someone orders 1 x SKU 12345×5, the stock quantity of SKU 12345 must be decreased by 5.

There shouldn’t be a stock value for SKU 12345×5 at all, since its stock only depends on the availability of SKU 12345.

Our customers are not seeing the bundle product SKU 12345×5 in WooCommerce and can not modify or even order it through WooCommerce. Only the parent product SKU 12345 is available in WooCommerce. The bundle product is only available on sales channels like Amazon or eBay, synchronized through a channel integration solution (Codisto) with WooCommerce.

All we need is to be able to create a product Ax5 from product A and a product Bx10 from product B. But inventory levels of products A and B need to be updated correctly as soon someone orders the products Ax5 or Bx10.

That means, the bundles (or however you will call it) are only internal, but not products available on the WC store front.

Which plugin would be the correct solution for us?

Hello? Another 2 days no answer. Would you please consider supporting a customer who has a question about your product? Or do I ask too much?

    Hi @volkerforster ,

Sorry, I didn’t receive your follow-up answer in my inbox.

About your question, I think you should use the WPC Product Bundles plugin to create such bundles from existing products in your store. Stocks will be reduced from the individual products as normal when customers purchase any bundle.

You can read more about some samples here: https://doc.wpclever.net/woosb/bundle-samples/

    Best regards.
