How important is my blog name to get traffic?

  • I came up with what I think or thought was a good blog title, but I realize it isn’t too conducive to get readers who use natural language for blog topics: my blog content is about higher education and how it can rip off students, and it’s called inthetext.com. Can you check out my home page and let me know if people will ‘get it’ or should I put in a subtitle to make the subject matter more obvious.

  • I can’t find your blog link, but to answer your question. I get a decent amount of google searches from my blog name ‘The Last Page on the Net’, but I don’t think it is too important in getting traffic.

    I don’t think the name will matter so much – it’s the content that drives your traffic.

    I’ll vote for content, too, for intial traffic. A domain that is easy to remember might encourage repeat views.
