How I solved structured data missing updated and author fields

  • I recently submitted my website into the Google Search Console and discovered I had structured data problems, i.e., missing “updated” and missing “author” fields on posts and pages. I am using the TwentyFourteen theme.

    It took me several weeks to figure this all out. I posted a pdf of what I did to fix the problems, and how it helped my SEO search result page ranking.

    I have the same problem, but only on the pages.
    So the date and the author are visible on posts.

    Here is my website:

    Is it possible that this is only because of my theme?
