    Hi Magnarock,

    I don’t believe it’s (currently) possible to use images from an external source in NextGEN Gallery.

    However, if you’re looking to save bandwidth, have you considered using a Content Delivery Network, at all? A CDN will take a lot of load off your server (helping improve responsiveness), while reducing your bandwidth usage considerably. Plus, it will serve images (and other static files) to your users more quickly (by being geographically closer to them). Personally, I use Amazon CloudFront integrated via W3 Total Cache.
