In the Top10 Feed is the complete Text of a Post. But i only want the WordPress Attitude with a Excerpt and no html or other plugin code (presently a gallery is shown in the feed as code). is there a option or via functions.php to do this ? or can you update/edit this in a future version ??

    Tobi,

I don’t think I fully understand. Do you want only the title and excerpt, or just the title?

If the former, you can set “For each post in a feed, include ” under Settings > Reading to excerpt, which will not display the full post content.

If it’s former, it won’t be a feature in the free plugin.

No, it don’t use the excerpt. I have always set this Option in the Settings ?? But “your” Feed show the full Text, the other/Standard Feed is displaying correctly. Currently i have edit the php File to do only show the Excerpt.

I just tested this and can confirm it is indeed not working.

I’ve filed this as a bug to get it fixed in the next version.

    https://github.com/WebberZone/top-10/issues/172

Please can you monitor that if you’re on GitHub? I’ll close this thread as resolved since the issue is moved there.

I wanted to confirm that I’ve fixed this. I had forced a setting into the code many moons ago and didn’t realise it until I dug into it today.

It’s going to be part of the new release I am currently working on.
