When I browse the setting in “Site Health” in wordpress ver. 5.6 tells me:

Persistent object caching is not enabled AMP
The AMP plugin performs at its best when persistent object cache is enabled. Object caching is used to more effectively store image dimensions and parsed CSS.

Please tell me how enable persistent object cache.

    Thanks.

    Hello @passegua

This is a recommendation that provides better performance for the AMP plugin (not mandatory). The best resource would be to contact your host about the best way to implement persistent object caching for your site/ environment.

You may find this guide useful.

so I understand this recommendation could be ignored.
I prefer to avoid unnecessary hassle.
    Thanks.

It can be ignored, but for best performance in WordPress generally you should have an persistent object cache. It saves on database load.

Hi Weston Ruter, I understand that, but I am still searching the best way to do it.
    Any advice? Thanks,

I would recommend that you inquire of for host to see what they recommend because it somewhat depends on what your host has.

Personally I use the WP Redis plugin because my host has Redis. Other hosts make Memcached available.

If you’re using WP Engine, then you can enable object caching in the user portal. Other hosts allow you to enable object caching in a similar way.

You can read more about object caching in the WordPress Hosting Handbook’s performance page.
