The default contact form for Neve looks good, but it does not send email. Tried the Check Email plugin as recommended, and that successfully sent email to the site’s admin address.

I also tried installing WP Forms, since that developer apparently has a working relationship with the Neve folks (ThemeIsle). But once I have the shortcode for my new form, I can’t find how to locate the spot to insert it on the homepage.

Built this page using the recommended Elementor, which was easy to use. Not sure whether the Neve theme or Elementor has ‘ownership’ of the contact form?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi, looking at the source code of the site, Elementor is responsible for the contact form as it is part of a widget of theirs. I’m not sure why it wouldn’t be sending email correctly though. Does it give any errors or just appears to send correctly but nothing is shown when submitting?

    @jarretc no errors.
I tried it again just now. “Your message has been sent” but the test never arrives. Nothing in spam/trash.

I will run a third test just to be sure.

@jarretc Same as before: All email from the default contact form silently fails. No apparent way to insert shortcode from created form into location of current default.

@jarretc : Now routing email through Google GMail and it delivers just fine.

However the field named “Project Budget” on the web page is arriving labeled “Phone” in the email. It also wants to copy what is sent to [email protected] which of course bounces.

You say this is an Elementor form not Neve??

@jarretc OK both of these glitches turned out to be buried in the Elementor UI.

I still don’t know why I can’t replace the default with a WP Form of my own making, but it doesn’t matter. Default seems to be working.

    Thanks!

Hi, I am having a problem with the Neve contact form. The default form works (Doctors theme), however it does NOT send all fields in the form and I cannot see how to add the missing field(s) Any ideas?

@stevejones13 are you saying that if you put data in all the form fields, only part of that information is sent in the email?

    Buongiorno a tutti.

Anch’io ho il problema che il modulo di contatto non invia per email tutti i campi. Se aggiungi un campo nuovo sembra non configurarlo correttamente. Vedo che avete risolto ma non vedo la soluzione, potete aiutarmi?

@xluciano My problem with the form seems different than the problem you have. If you have a GMail account set up, you can use the following plugin. For me, this has solved some problems…

    Hi there,

If you have problems with the Elementor form, you can try to switch it with one from WPForms Lite. Here’s a doc on how to create a similar form ( like the one in the main Neve demo; if you want to use a different demo, you’d need to customize the form to match the design ) https://docs.themeisle.com/article/984-how-to-create-neve-contact-form-in-wpforms.
Once you have the form’s shortcode, you can edit your page in Elementor ( or the page builder you’ve used ) remove the default form, and replace it with a shortcode element, where you can add the form’s shortcode.
WPForms would allow for more options, that would give more control over how the emails are delivered.

    Regards,
    Rodica

    Thank you so much.
    Luciano
