How does this plugin work?

    I want to maybe try this plugin but have questions before I get it all set up.

    In the description of the plugin it states this:
    Calculate shipping rates dynamically
    While checking out, a customer is presented with the available shipping services and the rates based on the shipping address and cart content. Customer can choose the best method that matches his/her requirements and proceed to payment.

    Does the calculation take into account the weight of the products and choose the best and cheapest shipping automatically or does the customer have full control over the choice?

    I am afraid I would get “stuck” with customers not paying enough shipping if their cart really should have flat rate or priority and they can choose first class.

    The rates are calculated based on weight and dimensions of the products in the cart. However, the basic version has an option for “Pack items individually” which means that if there more than 1 products in the cart, then the rates will be calculated separately for each product.

    So, if cart items don’t have any product to ship through first class then the rates will not be displayed for that service.

    Also, you can turn on/off shipping methods from the admin settings page.

    You have the flexibility to offer all the returned rates or cheapest rates from admin too.
