How does the Inbound Email work?

Hello,
On Dashboard > CRM or /wp-admin/admin.php?page=erp-sales, There is a widget called Total Inbound Emails. In my case, it stays at 0. How can I get it to increment?
Is it counting the replies to emails that I sent through CRM > Contacts > Click a Contact name > Email?
I set up the IMAP email and the test was successful. However, it seems like replies to the emails I sent through WP ERP CRM are not being counted or tracked as inbound emails.
Please let me know what you think.
