how does the crop work? (using 3.0.10)

    when I edit the image:
    0) go to “edit image
    1) I select the area I want cropped
    2) set aspect ratio
    3) click the crop button on the top
    4) hit “save”
    5) hit “update”

    the image preview in the backend displays as the way I cropped, but in the slider it is completely messed up, it looks like it just cropped the center of it.

    what am I missing?

  • As of now, Customizr doesn’t use WP’s cropped images, it just displays them centered and hides whatever doesn’t fit in the parent div.

    Playing nice with WP’s cropped images might be a worthy task for the to-do list but, in the end, it’s the theme author’s decision.

    Until Customizr supports WP’s crops for featured images you’ll just have to edit your image in a photo editor, crop it in such a way that it displays as you want on the front page and upload it again.
