I’m using Jetpack to handle my blog subscriptions. When I add a new blog, Jetpack sends an email to all of my subscribers. That is working perfectly.

On my latest post that I am about to publish, I am using an <iframe> to embed a YouTube video that I created.

Can someone tell me what Jetpack will do with this? I’m hoping it will just ignore it when sending the email. I did this once before, and I just don’t remember what happened.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Hi @mharmontx,

If there’s an embedded YouTube video in the post, what will get sent to your email subscribers is the video thumbnail image linked to the actual video.

In other words, Jetpack doesn’t just ignore the video when crafting the email to be sent to your subscribers.

Note that for this to work as described, it’s recommended to use the YouTube embed block if you’re using the block editor.
