How does it work? (IPTABLES firewall)

    I am running alot of blogs using broken link checker and have recently moved them from a hosting partner to my own server. All my links are now reported as broken – of a good reason.

    I am using IPTABLES as a firewall on Ubuntu. However, I cannot seem to get it working properly with the broken link checker. Does the plugin open the http part of pages on the links that it has found (i.e. potentially all outgoing IP addresses) or is there some other common denominator, so the firewall does not have to be completely open?
