How does Flipbook work?

    hi,
    Just wondering if someone could explain please how the Flipbook plugin works ( for wordpress ).

    right now, we do not have a PDF created of our products in magazine format.

    does flipbook help us to build this digital magazine, or do I need to have one already, for Flipbook to work?
