    You have less than 33 days to upgrade 1 active app to Graph API v2.0 or above. Learn more.

    What do you do if all you are using is Facebook comments on your blog?

    Do you just go to your ap’s name, then Settings, Migration and click on “Use Graph API v2.0 by default” and then click Save Changes, and everything will continue working?

    I’m not a developer but I was able to figure out how to install this plugin in the beginning and get the app id and app secret for it to run. There’s no way I can figure out how to write new code for it now though. Please help, thanks!

  • I’ve made the pull request for them here: https://github.com/facebookarchive/wordpress/pull/538

    Hopefully they’ll review, merge, and update this plugin before the sky falls ??

    Does this mean that all my – very important! – comments collected on my blog will not get lost? If so, I am very thankful to you!

    Do you think this Plugin will fail one day? I’m very concerned. If you ever have time to write a simple step-by-step “How to save all your comments and switch to (Jetpack or another working Facebook comments Plugin) before the official FB Plugin falls apart” I would be very happy, if you had donate button would donate for your efforts.

    @hedimaria
    FB comments are tied to the unique URL for your post/article. Changing the all.js to sdk.js and adding the version as I’ve done in that aforementioned code change won’t break your comments at all.

    That all said you should look for another plugin to use as they do not seem interested in updating this plugin at all.

    I also don’t get comment reply notifications for this plugin so – sorry I didn’t see this until now.

    Thanks Chuck. This plugin appears to be working still (without me doing anything), so I’m just leaving it alone for now. It’s hard to figure out which Plugin to use to replace it with since people report problems with all of them. I guess I will replace it if I notice it having problems… or if I can find one that looks relatively problem free I will try it out. Thanks for your answers… Facebook IT people don’t speak regular English. ??
