    Hi,

Whenever I’m been asked to update the plugin, I find myself deleting the entire library of AMPforWP in order to be able to install the newer update. This is SO annoying.

If I try to update regularly, I’m getting the following message:

    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the plugin…

    Destination folder already exists.

    Plugin installation failed.

Is there a way to update without having to delete the previous plugin installation?

    Thanks!

    Hi @niron,

Are you doing any changes in our plugin? if yes then if you update them then all your changes will get reverted and the error which you mentioned (Destination folder already exists) will appear when you already have the folder of ‘accelerated-mobile-pages’ in your plugins directory. Please make sure you only have one folder with the name of accelerated-mobile-pages in your plugins directory.

    Hi @ampforwp

I only have ONE folder and I never made any changes to it. I don’t even know what changes you refer to.

I download the ZIP file and then go to the plugin section, add the file and click install. That’s pretty much it.

I wish we could update via WordPress.

You no need to always download the latest zip file and yes you just need to click on the update button in the plugins page only.

I’m getting a popup message that says:

“Attention: AMPforWP Plugin Manager requires an upgrade. Please Download & install the latest version for free.”

And it has a link to your download page on your website.

    So it’s very confusing.

Will you please delete the current AMPforWP Plugin Manager plugin which you have and then download this zip file – https://ampforwp.com/plugins-manager/
