• I am having a real problem working out how to run php code on my posts and pages. I downloaded the exec-php plugin but that says it also needs a role manage. So I ended up downloading Role Scoper but can’t work out how to set it up.

The recommended Role Manager plugin doesn’t say it works with 2.8. It all seems so out of date!

Any kind soul help me out here? I just want to run some php code in my posts and pages!

    Thanks,

    Jon

  • why do you need a role manage plugin with exec-php?
    I use it without that

Because the instructions say I need to. And when I go to the WYSIWYG editor, I get this message:

Exec-PHP WYSIWYG Conversion Warning. Saving this article will render all contained PHP code permanently unuseful. Even if you are saving this article through the Code editor. You can turn off this warning in your user profile. Ignore this warning in case this article does not contain PHP code. Read the Exec-PHP documentation if you are unsure what to do next.

I set up another user who doesn’t have the WYSIWYG editor and I could put the php code in there. But when I opened the post using another user and updated the non-php code, it messed up the php.

So, I have a problem! Any solution?

use the html editor when adding code
