• Hi,
I’m confused as to how to make Section Widget work.

I’ve installed it. I have two instances of Section Widget in my sidebar, one titled “Search, one “Categories”. I have done nothing else there except to select “Every Page”

In Appearance/Section Widget I have clicked on Detect scope (using the default .swt-outter ) That comes back with “Failed”

How the heck do I get a tabbed sidebar for “Search” and for “Categories”?

  • Hi,

Does scope detection is only necessary if you are using the tabbed section widget. The non-tabbed version should work fine right out of the box. Do you have a link to your site?

    Hi,
I do want to be able to have tabs… that is my goal. The site is https://www.wisewomanshining.com but I doubt that it will help, as I don’t want to leave it active if it’s not working.

Can you give me the 101 version of making Section Widget work in my sidebar with 2 or 3 tabs?

    Thanks!

    Hi

Try adding the widget first… I probably would work just fine. Once you have added that to the sidebar you may try the scope detection if you want to. The scope detection requires at least one tabbed sw on the sidebar.
