How do you lock content, but upon email subscription it becomes unlocked

  • Hey guys,

    I’m trying to make a content locked product page. So each product will be listed there, but are behind email signups.

    It will look like a normal, grid product page, with buttons that open up a popup where the user has to sign up.

    Something similar to this:

    Once they have signed up, I would like it to unlock all of the items on the page. I am currently using mailchimp as my email subscription service. Is there any way I would be able to do this using mailchimp?

    I’ve noticed some people use optin monster for this functionality, and I can’t find anything else that would do it, but I really don’t want to have to move all my email marketing stuff to another platform if possible.

    OptinMonster is just a lead capture tool. It has to be integrated with an email service provider (eg MailChimp) to deliver email campaigns. Thus OptinMonster complements MailChimp, but it’s not a replacement.

    So if OptinMonster solves your content gating problem as you say (I have no idea if it does), then you should be able to use it with your MailChimp account — as the two are complementary and not alternatives.
