How do you get G111 from Google Consent?

    We have come across a problem with Google Ads, or other sites.
    Even with Sitekit By Google, and then Enable Consent Mode, and then a Plugin like Cookie Yes or Complanz, the G100 code in the ‘collect’ Payload tab, won’t change from G100 to G111.

    Does anyone know how to effectively do this, or is it only possible with a paid plugin?

    Hello @simon_a6,

    The G100 and G111 codes in the Google Consent Mode refer to different states of consent:

    • G100 indicates that consent has not been given for ad storage or analytics.
    • G111 means that consent has been granted for both ad storage and analytics.

    To change the code from G100 to G111, the user must explicitly consent to the required categories (ad storage and analytics) through the consent management platform (CMP) you are using. Plugins like CookieYes provides an option to work with Google Consent Mode. But you need to enable this from the CookieYes web app dashboard before using the plugin implemented GCM on your site.

    Thank you for all that. The thing that bugs me about that plugin (tho they have been v helpful) is that even with that plugin on, if you have the latest version, you still have to Migrate… to the new UI. Which you think is just about Design, but that UI enabled the GCM.

    It’s stupid (in my view) that it’s so very hidden away. But they did reveal how to do it.
    But at least it is free – unlike some other plugins on here that I won’t quote.
