How do you edit Series description?

  • I can’t seem to find where you edit the Series description. I can see where to add one when first creating a series (Posts >> Manage Series). I can see the description of the series I have already created. But if I click “edit” on a particular series, I am taken to a page that lists this text in the Series Description field:

    “The description is not prominent by default; however, some themes may show it.”

    If I refresh the page, I can just barely see a box with the ability to edit the series, but one or two seconds later, it gets replaced with the gray, uneditable text above.

    Using wordpress version 4.3. I accidentally clicked 3.7. Tried disabling the only other plugin I’ve installed since last updating a series, and I still couldn’t do it.

    Yup, it is where I thought it was. Posts >> Manage Series. BUT, I was getting a javascript error from a conflict with another plugin (Yoast SEO). If I disable it, I’m able to modify the descriptions. That will do for now, but I’ll leave this post up in case a long term solution comes up. Here was the error:
