How do you deal with modified post dates?

  • I want to display the modified post date on my site however, I do not want a post to appear as “modified” if I only correct a typo for instance.

    I think it sucks if I make a minor correction to a post from 2016 and then it shows “Update Nov 11, 2018”, you know?

    Your help is appreciated.

    This is a theme thing as the theme decides whether to fetch that information if how to display it. Check with the developer of your theme to see if it’s easily modifiable within that theme’s architecture.
