How do you create and assign the submenus?

    I completely understand how to use this in a widget in place of my normal menu. On its own, I like it much better as the default menu than the menu that is for the theme I use, but I’m finding it difficult to understand how create and assign the submenus to each of the main menu items. I’ve look here and I’ve gone to the author’s site, but I can’t find clues.

    As a side note, I am also a bit worried that my question won’t be answered here since it appears other user’s questions here have gone unanswered.

    The submenus are created from the same menu, wordpress admin -> Appearance -> Menus.

    Put a page in the menu and drag the button to the right resulting parent submenu button.
