Hello! We installed the application but cannot figure out how to add test reviews (we’re in development). Can you advise on what the steps are to add a customer name, review (title and description) and star rating for our products?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

    Thank you for using CusRev.

If you want to add test reviews, please follow these steps:
    – Go to Reviews > Settings > Review Reminder tab > Verified Reviews: Independently Verified > Save changes
    – Go to Reviews > Settings > CusRev.com tab > Mode: Private

Then you can send the test review reminders and submit reviews via the aggregated review form. Please get more details on the Getting Started solution.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Pear, thanks for the followup. Maybe it’s user error but I can’t seem to get the shortcodes working or the review stars to show up even though there are reviews in the system (and are visible when in Divi’s edit mode).

Review stars only show in edit mode:

I also can’t quite figure out what shortcode would go in this section to show only a single products reviews.

For example, only show the reviews for the Lil Nipper product on this page via this shortcode:

Let me know if I’m going about this all wrong. Thank you!

    Hi,

Thank you for your additional information.

Please follow the solution below to know how to enable the reviews on the product page Reviews Not Showing on Product Page.

If it does not help, you can follow the next solution to troubleshoot the issue
    Troubleshooting Plugins and Themes.

You can use the shortcode [cusrev_reviews] to display the reviews section on the product page. Please go to Reviews > Settings > Shortcodes tab > Enable Reviews Shortscodes and read the details on the right side.

Hello, thank you for the additional information.

I made sure my reviews were enabled within the WooCommerce settings and product views.

I confirmed my builder (DIVI) is compatible with this plugin.

I placed the shortcode you mentioned into my single product page and it didn’t display anything.

    Example:

However, when I use a Divi module to show all reviews, this works (so I know the reviews are enabled).

If I want to show just one product (ID: 35001) could you give me an example of how to structure this snippet so I know for sure I’m correct?

Is there another reason why my shortcodes might not be generating reviews?

Thank you for your help on this!

    Hi,

    Thanks for your additional information.

Not sure why the shortcode [cusrev_reviews] does not work on your site. You can try to switch to another theme and see if it works.
This shortcode is an alias of the reviews section of WooCommerce so if you can use the WooCommerce reviews Divi module, it will display the same section and you can keep using this module.

Unfortunately, Divi’s basic reviews module is useless unless you install a bunch of plugins to enhance basic functionality (like “load more”), and they only show a list view (no grid).

I switched over to the 2022 theme and the shortcode still does not generate anything. I also shut down our plugins but that didn’t help.

I turned Divi back on seeing as the theme doesn’t appear to be the issue, and loaded the shortcode on our privacy policy page to test:

Quick update, there is something being output but it’s ‘nocomment’ instead of reviews content. Is this a setting I need to modify? Thanks!

    Hi,

Thank you for your additional information.

FYI, the shortcode [cusrev_reviews] only works on the single product page. It works like an alias reviews section of WooCommerce.

On a single page such as Privacy Policy, you can try to use other shortcodes, for example [cusrev_all_reviews]. Let me know how it goes.

Ah! Thank you. That was it. I really appreciate your help.
