    Hi!
    You are right. You need copy and paste the shortcode into your post or page and Data Tables by Supsystic plugin will automatically create the table on your page using the settings you choose above. Important! Shortcode must be inserted in a text editor page, and not in the visual.

    Also you can use PHP code of the table. In general php code can be inserted at any place of the page code – to display exactly in this place, for example in the header or footer of the page. Besides it can be inserted in the code of template of the theme – to display on all pages.

    Unfortunately now there is no widget option for data tables. But we will add it for you. It will be done in 2 weeks.

    Thanks for getting back supsystic.

    I have tried posting the shortcode into posts and pages. I did use the text editor too but still no table, just the shortcode itself that shows up.

    It is really the ability to put it in a widget for my side bar that I was lookig for so I will look forward to the update.
