How Do We Set This Up??

Must admit I’m a newbie, but… that said, this isn’t at all friendly or intuitive. I downloaded Sociable file to my PC, then uploaded (through Dreamweaver) the file to wp-content/plugins. I also added the plugin directly to wordpress plugins by clicking install from the Sociable website.
When I now click on “Visit Plugin Site” from the wp plugin page, it hangs for a minute then I get an error page saying: Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to blogplay.com Access a cached copy of blogplay.-com/-plugin. When I click on that link, Chrome hangs and finally opens a strange looking page that is completely useless.
Anyone know how to actually get this plugin to work? I’m not experienced or particularly savy with wp, but it seems like this plugin doesn’t work. If it does work, it’s been made so counter-intuitively that someone without a lot of experience can’t make it work.
Am I missing something? Thanks.
