How do we hide ‘Notifications’ from admin tool bar?

How do we hide ‘Notifications’ from admin tool bar? We don’t want our editors seeing this link in the tool bar (at top) as when clicking on it they get notice ‘Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.’ … kind of pointless – and not needed even for admins as we can access this from the admin menu (sidebar) ‘Hide Notices’. Please consider adding a switch to settings something like ‘Show in top tool bar’… but if you can provide code for functions.php that would work for me too.

Any news on this? Would also like to hide the Link from the admin bar.
Maybe some kind of version of this code for the functions.php:
