As I understand Media folder doesn’t display existing folders on server, so I am thinking your plugin could be a solution?

    Hello @wood1e,

Thank you for reaching out to us. We are here to assist you.

WordPress automatically organizes uploaded files through its media library into directories. These files are stored at the following location: …wp-content/uploads/2023/10. The system creates a directory for the year in which the file is uploaded, so if a file is uploaded in 2023, it will create a “2023” directory, with “10” representing the month, indicating October.

This is how WordPress manages files uploaded via the media library. Additionally, it generates multiple versions of the same file in various sizes for flexibility.

If you have any further questions or need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Best Regards,

    You are correct!

But that is why I installed your plugin manages new folders etc.

    As per your opening paragraph

FILE MANAGER ALLOWS YOU TO EDIT, DELETE, UPLOAD, DOWNLOAD, ZIP, COPY AND PASTE FILES AND FOLDERS DIRECTLY FROM THE WORDPRESS BACKEND. DON’T BOTHER WITH FTP TO MANAGE AND MOVE YOUR FILES FROM LOCATION TO LOCATION. THE MOST POWERFUL, FLEXIBLE, AND EASIEST WORDPRESS FILE MANAGEMENT SOLUTION EVER BUILT!

So how do I view my folder labelled ‘Packages’ in media? As I have a lot of sub folders with package specific content within?

I want to add PDFs to my products and when I click on ‘Add File’ I am taken to WP Media, but the folders I have created are not showing… so I cannot click and add the PDF I want.

    See here: https://app.screencast.com/XpzM5Nd164vJP

With your plugin how do I solve the issue?

Or is your plugin the same as all the other ‘media plugins’ and they don’t actually work with WP Media/Phyiscal folders?

Sorry but I am very confused !!

    Hello @wood1e,

We understand your concern, and we’re here to help. Unfortunately, our plugin is designed to display the file structure of your website as it is stored. It presents files and directories without additional data labeling or categorization, such as the “Packages” folder.

In response to your specific issue of not being able to view your labeled folders in the WP Media library when trying to add PDFs to your products, our plugin may not directly address this particular challenge. It operates in line with the default WordPress Media library structure.

Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any other questions.

    Best Regards,
    WP File Manager Support
