I have developed a new site using WooCommerce & WooCommerce Payments. I set it up on a staging site and created a WordPress.com account. I must have created a Stripe account during that process, although I can’t actually remember that step.
I have now migrated (cloned) the site to it’s final url and would like to use a different stripe account for the site when I hand it over to my client.
No matter what I try, whenever I access the Stripe Gateway using this link:
Manage in Stripe(opens in a new tab)
I get a Stripe page that then sends a code to my phone. ie. it ‘remembers’ who I am. I’ve tried everything except deleting and re-installing WooCommerce as I don’t want to loose my data.
Is there something in the database that I can delete to make it ‘forget’ me and prompt me to create a new Stripe account for my client… or is there some other step I can take to ‘start fresh’
    Thank you, Jerry

    Hi there!

No problem! Only one Stripe Express account can be associated with your site, but you can edit the email on the account (and other details) to your client’s. Here is how:

    • Go to WP Admin → Payments.
    • In the overview, click ‘Edit details’ in the Account section. This will send you to Stripe’s website (WooCommerce Payments is powered by Stripe), and you may have to enter an authentication code: https://d.pr/i/syGK0k
    • Scroll to the bottom, and click on ‘Email and mobile number’ under ‘Profile’ to edit your account details: https://d.pr/i/2KjTaW
    • Save and you’re done!

Hi @battouly and thanks for your response.

I have seen this page and can see that most of the information is editable. In the account representative section however, I see that the DOB is not editable. Is this an oversight by Stripe or is the account somehow still linked to me (the developer) when I want to hand it over to my client.

    Thanks, Jerry

    Hi Jerry,

I see that the DOB is not editable. Is this an oversight by Stripe, or is the account somehow still linked to me (the developer) when I want to hand it over to my client.

That’s right, editing the DOB is not possible from the dashboard, please contact Stripe for help to edit the DOB. We don’t have access to that data.

    Thanks!

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.
