How do I upload my site to the server?

  • Hi,

    I have installed WordPress and have the latest version available. I selected a theme and created the apperance of my website. Unfortunatly when I go on my webpage, there is nothin I created there. On the top of the page it’s written: “This site is under developpement This page indicates the webmaster has not uploaded a website to the server.” How do I do that?

  • There is possibly a HTML file. You have to delete it. Please provide your website’s URL.

    I am having the same problem

    To both of the above persons :

    1. Please provide URL, webhost name etc. minimum details.
    2. If possible take screenshot of the FTP of that public folder.

    I have downloaded WordPress after getting my hosting company and site name 5 days ago. I have added pages and when I go to check my website it says:
    This site is under development

    This page indicates the webmaster has not uploaded a website to the server.

    For information on how to build or upload a site, please visit your web hosting company’s site.

    @knrbarber – please provide with a site URL (https://yoursitename.com)

    As Abishek stated, this is very likely due to something your hosting company added to your site.

    Hosting companies often add an “index.html” file to your site when you create a new account with them. If you have trouble removing the file, let us know, or contact the hosting company.
