    Hello –
I’m currently using Quick Cache Pro v. 131128 and want to update to the latest version, 140104. I tried to update by disabling QC pro and then installing the latest version, but I’m getting the error message below:

    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the plugin…

    Destination folder already exists. /home/content/22/10327722/html/wp-content/plugins/quick-cache-pro/

    Plugin install failed.

I’m worried that if I delete my current version before upgrading it’ll delete all of my settings. Is this what I need to do?
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

Nevermind – I uninstalled the old and installed the new. All is well

In Quick Cache Pro there’s also an automatic updater built-in, so you don’t have to update manually. See Dashboard → Quick Cache → Plugin Updater.

Thanks Raam, but that feature wasn’t available in 131128. I signed up for it in the latest build, so I should be good now. Thanks!

Am trying to update but keep getting the following error:

    403 Permission Denied

@jphipps That sounds like it could be your web host running ModSecurity with strict settings that block requests with long URLs. I suggest contacting your web host and asking them about this. They should be able to look at the server logs and see if ModSecurity is throwing that 403 error.
