• Having issues completely uninstalling this app. I want to have a completely fresh, new install of it. It is not functioning anymore and I just want to start over with clean install. The issue that I am having is that when I uninstall app and then reinstall it I get my old database and configuration loading back up again. It never fully uninstalls. I would like to start from scratch, a fresh, new unconfigured install of this plugin.

Can someone please help me by showing me where these files are saved in word press so I can FTP into my website and remove them so as to not have it reload old configuration. (LORD KNOWS I have spent a long time looking for these today).

When you deactivate the plugin, you can complete the uninstallation by clicking on “delete” in the deactivated plugin. That will remove all the database tables and settings.

If you’ve removed the files already (using FTP), it’s a little more complicated because you’ll have to remove the settings manually.

I can explain that part if you need.

I have clicked on the “delete” in the deactivated plugin. When I go reinstall it so that I have a fresh clean install of it my old tables and settings reload back up in plugin. This is why I was trying to remove it manually. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe there is another uninstall process besides clicking delete that will fully uninstall all settings and tables?

I don’t know why the delete button did not delete the tables and settings. You could try installing the plugin, then deleting it again, that should do it. If that doesn’t work, it is possible to do this manually…it is a bit complicated, however.

You will need to access your database directly using phpMyAdmin or a similar tool for working with the database directly.

To delete the plugin tables, look at the list of tables in your WordPress database, you’ll find 3 for the plugin, they all have “participants_database” in the name. Delete all 3 tables.

For the settings, you will be looking in the WordPress options table for the plugin options. Here are the names of the 3 options to remove:

    participants-database_options
    PDb_Db_version
    pdb-default_options

I have installed and uninstalled plugin like 5 times and no luck, the tables continually show back up with old configuration. Is there another method besides PHP that I can use to remove this and be able to start from scratch? I am really not familiar with PHP. I do networks not programming :(. I was thinking maybe I could do this in FTP? Is this not possible? I really want to thank you very much for all the great support you are giving me with your plugin! YOU ROCK MAN!

OK, when you install the plugin it does install default tables and fields. If you don’t need those fields, you can delete them, but there isn’t a way to install the plugin without putting in the default fields.

The default tables I would be ok with. Just default settings. What happens when I reinstall it is the exact same setup that I had before. My email address in settings, all the tables I created, even the checked boxes I had clicked on stay the same. Everything stays the same. Even after deactivate and DELETE. I will ask a friend that knows more about PHP to help me with your instructions. Once again thanks for the help.
